Find the best coffee around you, with honest reviews from a community of people who take it seriously. Shipped on iOS, Android and web, with a Fastify/Prisma API and a separate search service behind it. A team product: my role was primarily business analysis, shaping how the social and discovery features should work, with hands-on build work on the mobile app and the search service.
What I built
- Built the social layer in the React Native app: posts and reviews with full CRUD, likes and comments, ratings, and the feed that ties them together.
- Reworked the profile and bottom-navigation UI, and did a round of feed performance work on lists that had grown well past their original size.
- Owned the standalone search service - a NestJS/TypeORM app indexing brands and users, kept in sync through entity subscribers.
- Added brand media and slug support to the API so venues could have shareable, readable URLs.
